Living spaces should also be spaces that live. Your interiors should reflect your personality and lifestyle while considering function, balance, space, texture, lighting, sonority, palette, season, and mood.

To the right is a small business example, a complete makeover of a small cafe in Boston's hip South End. We delivered the owners' vision of fusing Indian and Greek cultural elements, expanding seating capacity, and creating an inviting space for takeout, a casual daytime meal, or more sophisticated evening dining... all on a modest budget!
In this next example, we transformed a bedroom from floor to ceiling, with particular focus on storage along one wall. In addition to providing clean hideaway access to items ranging from skis to shoes to clothes to even the bedroom entry door, we addressed the client's wish for a contemporary feel, which included a beautiful wood floor and greatly increased light with recessed ceiling halogens.
To this end, Erdman Design provides a wide range of interior design services with differentiating embellishments such as botanical accents, urban gardening and even holiday decorating. Whether residential or small business, our goal is simply to help you bring your vision to life.
On the left is a residential example that showcases living, dining and kitchen areas connected in an open concept that blends eclectic design elements with botanical components and hideaway technology to create a warm and comfortable yet thoroughly functional environment.
For this client, we re-upholstered several lovely furniture items (including some antiques) that had been gotten threadbare and then put under unappealing slipcovers. The new vibrant fabrics are water and wear resistant, so the client can now enjoy their furniture without the slipcovers.
In this example, the client lives in a city location with very little storage. His empty odd shaped closet was transformed to have numerous layers of effective and accessible storage optimized for convenient use.
This breakfast nook needed a few additional touches to become the cozy space the client always envisioned. We made new custom cushions and backing for the banquet seating, as well as installed shades that provide several variations on privacy and lighting control, all coordinated to the design of the client's favorite place mats.
This office location became warm and welcoming for clients and employees when we added a botanical design that distributed lush (yet maintenance friendly) plants of several types throughout the reception desk, waiting area, meeting rooms, and transition spaces of the office.
For this client, adding a built-in to a dead end hallway made a wasted space suddenly useful, and an outdated bathroom was rejuvenated with new lighting, wallcovering and a custom ordered mirror.
